Composer’s Notes:
Pertaining to the melody of this track, it is the adherence of the melody to a particular scale of Hindustani Classical Music Raag Yaman throughout; but that’s not done with it all, the most challenging goal I had in mind when producing this track was to envision the whole song to be really interesting, also coherent to one of the most popular expressive forms of Indian Dance Kathak. Taking the Hindi language to listeners across the globe. I had to draw the parallels with styles of Ghazal & Sufi Music that are allied to Hindustani Classical Music, merging and blending the arrangements. When I wrote the chords for the track first, I was so careful to align with the notes/swaras of the scale/raga so that it adds a lot to the enhancement of the melody and the song in total. One of the chord progressions employ D - Bm - G#diminished - Bm which seemed possible because of the melody; so until I arrived at where this seem to convey the mood of the melody, bearing in mind the lyrics, I worked with very many possibilities envisioning for a beautiful output. Once I wrote the chords, I worked on the melodic aspects with regard to the arrangements, adding up the synth elements. The Rhythm adds to the forte of this track. The Rhythm Kicks & the Snares call up for a stable layer. The Tabla, one of the predominant Indian Percussion Instruments, is accustomed to the Hindustani Classical part of the melody & the groovy part of it is the Tabla & Dholak layers highlighting the Rhythm of this Song. One of the interludes enumerates the shades of Jazz & the concluding interlude on my vocals is constructed by a quick intro to the Aalap - the exploration of the Raga, and the melodic arrangements matching this segment are the Tanpura and the synths gearing up for a crisp & dynamic Swara Progressions. With various aspects such as the Indian Rhythm, the Pop elements, shades of Jazz & the Indian Swaras, all put together, this song attributes stand proof to the execution, the innovation, and the exposition of blending of the Indian Classical Music coupled with elements of Pop n Jazz.
Pitch of the Song - D Tempo - 90 Time 4/4
