Composer’s Notes:

Pertaining to the melody of this track, it is the adherence of the melody to a particular scale of Hindustani Classical Music Raag Yaman throughout; but that’s not done with it all, the most challenging goal I had in mind when producing this track was to envision the whole song to be really interesting, also coherent to one of the most popular expressive forms of Indian Dance Kathak. Taking the Hindi language to listeners across the globe. I had to draw the parallels with styles of Ghazal & Sufi Music that are allied to Hindustani Classical Music, merging and blending the arrangements. When I wrote the chords for the track first, I was so careful to align with the notes/swaras of the scale/raga so that it adds a lot to the enhancement of the melody and the song in total. One of the chord progressions employ D - Bm - G#diminished - Bm which seemed possible because of the melody; so until I arrived at where this seem to convey the mood of the melody, bearing in mind the lyrics, I worked with very many possibilities envisioning for a beautiful output. Once I wrote the chords, I worked on the melodic aspects with regard to the arrangements, adding up the synth elements. The Rhythm adds to the forte of this track. The Rhythm Kicks & the Snares call up for a stable layer. The Tabla, one of the predominant Indian Percussion Instruments, is accustomed to the Hindustani Classical part of the melody & the groovy part of it is the Tabla & Dholak layers highlighting the Rhythm of this Song. One of the interludes enumerates the shades of Jazz & the concluding interlude on my vocals is constructed by a quick intro to the Aalap - the exploration of the Raga, and the melodic arrangements matching this segment are the Tanpura and the synths gearing up for a crisp & dynamic Swara Progressions. With various aspects such as the Indian Rhythm, the Pop elements, shades of Jazz & the Indian Swaras, all put together, this song attributes stand proof to the execution, the innovation, and the exposition of blending of the Indian Classical Music coupled with elements of Pop n Jazz.

Pitch of the Song - D Tempo - 90 Time 4/4

Based on the notes of the Lydian Mode in Western Classical Music.

In Indian Classical Music, this scale is known as Raag Yaman in Hindustani Classical Music & Raga Kalyani in Carnatic Classical Music.

This track commences with a short Adlib Intro segment.

Track Notes:

The song was released on the eve of International Day of Yoga and World Music Day - 21 June 2022.

This song is Composed/Written, Music Produced, Arranged & Record Produced by myself. I’ve sung this song with Bollywood singer Ravindra Upadhyay. Meaningful lyrics were written by BK Sapna.

I hope this track inspires listeners to understand the in-depth knowledge of different forms of yoga practices & disciplines that originated from ancient India and enlightens them about the significance of regular practice to ensure one's well-being, mindfulness, power & strength.

I’ve composed this melody based on the Indian Classical Raga Yaman. Though this song is composed in a raga, I’ve arranged & music produced this song in such a way to transform you into an elated state that will open your heart!

The style of this track literally blends the plethora of Indian Rhythm, Pop elements, shades of Jazz & the Indian Swaras combined with instruments such as Sitar, Tabla & Dholak, that which is in coherence with one of the most popular expressive forms of Indian Dance Kathak.

Produced by JSJ Audio label & presented by Brahmakumaris - World Spiritual University that teaches the Rajyoga Meditation.

Composer Notes:

This welcome theme song is a dance drama production that was composed/song written (melody), music produced, arranged, record produced by myself. Sung by myself along with Eminent Singer Velmurugan.

I conducted & recorded the entire session comprising a plethora of instruments including ancient traditional percussions of Tamilnadu, highlighting the “Beats of Tamilnadu” & “Rhythm of India”.

I’ve arranged this piece of music/dance drama production with 7 sections, a duration of about 9 minutes.

Commencing with the grooves n beats of the Tamilnadu folk tradition in the 6/8 rhythm, this song introduces the land of Tamilnadu with the Adlib section & shifts with dramatic moves striking towards the action/thriller styles in 4/4 rhythm & delving to deliver a promising attitude to create a new world.

The mid passages convey the theatrical aspects starting right from the ancient times to present day scenario & hence the music is a blend of contemporary style merging with genres such as World, Indian Pop, Indian Folk & the Ragas of Hindustani Classical Music & Carnatic Classical Music (Indian Classical Art Forms). This segment quickly introduces a Hindustani Classical Music Swara section concluding with a “thihaayee”, a technical term to sign the end of the swara section.

The finale of this song travels towards a greater vision to portray the significance, cultural values & disciplines of the land of Tamilnadu, depicting the prevalence through generations.

The music for the finale has been written in a grand manner, comprising heavy orchestral arrangements matching the dance styles that focus to highlight the theme “Idhu Namma Tamilnadu” (It’s our Tamilnadu).
